The Pouch Is the Format. The Formula Is the Product.

The useful question is not whether a pouch looks familiar. It is whether the named finished product has clear ingredients, a stated use, supportable claims and evidence that belongs to that product.

Why this mattersA familiar pouch can win attention before it has earned trust.+
The questionWhat should a customer, buyer or partner assess before treating a pouch product as credible?
What you leave withThis page separates packaging from proof, so customers, buyers and partners can see what the product is for, what supports it and what still needs to be proven.
Now whatInspect the official WAKE, PULSE or ALRT product record that matches the person and occasion you care about.
  • Pouch format does not prove absorption, performance, safety or demand.
  • Ingredient and laboratory studies stay with the exact product and conditions tested.
  • WAKE, PULSE and ALRT share a format but must each earn a different customer decision.

A familiar pouch can hide the question that matters

The pouch is not the product. The reason it earns a place in someone’s day is. A pouch can look familiar and still leave the customer with the only questions that matter: what is inside, how much is there, what is it for and what can this exact finished formula honestly support?

Formulation changes the conditions

A 2025 laboratory study of three nicotine pouch brands found that pH, artificial saliva composition and the tested product formulation affected nicotine release and permeation under its laboratory conditions. The study does not establish absorption, performance or safety for a different ingredient or a nicotine free WPG product.

An ingredient study is not a finished product claim

A randomized 2025 trial compared a 60 mg caffeine mouth spray with coffee and an energy drink in fourteen adults. It found no faster rise in blood caffeine from the spray. That result belongs to the tested spray, dose, participants and conditions; it is not a claim about a pouch, another formula or a customer outcome.

The product has to carry its own proof

A credible product record names the ingredients and amounts, the intended occasion, the finished formulation, the claim being made and the evidence for that exact claim. It also says what has not been established. That is how a customer can make a real decision without borrowing confidence from a category or a format.

The WPG decision: one format, three different jobs

This is where WPG’s newsroom intelligence becomes useful. WAKE has to earn its place with active people. PULSE has to earn it around a defined performance moment. ALRT has to earn it in demanding work and shift environments. The format can be shared; the customer, formula, claim, proof and route to market cannot.

Read the product, not the packaging

For WAKE, PULSE and ALRT, start with the product’s actual ingredients, intended use and official route. A shared pouch format does not make the brands interchangeable, and it does not transfer evidence from one formula to another.
