WAKE Alphatropics is entering the U.S. market. To mark the launch, WAKE partnered with Thrill Sports — the company behind Nitro Circus and Street League Skateboarding — and motorsports athlete Cody Matechuk to break a world record.
In Golden, British Columbia, Matechuk launched 450 feet off a mountainside on a snowbike at nearly 50 mph. He broke his own previous record of 320 feet while simultaneously piloting a parachute system that carried him and the snowbike safely to the ground. According to Thrill Sports, it is the longest snowbike cliff base jump on record.
